If you can get here: GO!! The food and atmosphere were excellent and the staff very welcoming!

We found this place via another review and were very grateful! It’s mostly a meat place, specifically for roast suckling pig, but I had one of the best porcini mushroom pastas that I’ve ever had?!

The little saffron meatballs were to die for!

A short walk from the town center but ohh so worth your time!!

A Casa di Nonna, which beautifully translates to Grandma’s House, delivers exactly what the name promises: warm, honest, home-style cooking in a simple but welcoming, unpretentious setting. This isn’t a place for fussy menus or trendy plating. Instead, it’s a celebration of simple, traditional flavours done perfectly.

While this may not be the best choice for strict vegetarians, meat lovers will find themselves in heaven. The grilled pig I had was nothing short of outstanding, tender, richly flavoured, and cooked to absolute perfection. Even the grilled potatoes, often treated as a side note elsewhere, stood out here with their crisp exterior and soft, fluffy centre.

Everything came together beautifully: the speed of service, the friendliness of the staff, and the relaxed atmosphere all made the experience feel both effortless and memorable. A Casa di Nonna isn’t just another restaurant: it’s a place where the food speaks for itself and reminds you why simple cooking, done right, is sometimes all you need.

Highly recommended if you’re in Sardinia and want a proper taste of local hospitality.

A great rustic place to try and enjoy suckling pig. The atmosphere is very rural and simple, great for a relaxing evening.
The food was super nice, the pig was really well done. Just go for the pig and some side dishes, like fried potatoes and simple salad.
I highly recommend this place for a memorable Sardinian experience!

I really wanted to like this place, from photos that I have seen and the concept. However, the food, in my opinion, the most important part, was disappointing. The piglet was so well presented and such a huge portion yet overcooked and dry. The fillet of beef was sent back twice because not cooked correctly and it was two pieces of random meat. It didn’t look like a fillet, it didn’t taste like a fillet. More like a skirt steak and a piece of rump but sold as fillet of beef. Not impressed. Sad to see donkey and horse meat on the menu but I do accept they might be local delicacies. Service was ok. Buzzing atmosphere with nice old style music.

Some people have had really good experiences here but ours was lacking. It was a very busy evening and we waited for food for over an hour although the server gave us a discount for this. The steak we had was pretty tough and not cooked how we asked it to be. The pork was very good! The starters were tasty but a little over priced in my opinion. The servers are lovely and welcoming but there was obviously just a little back up due to the volume of people.

Been having fish and seafood all week and needed some meat loving care. And this place surely gives you plenty of TLC. The pork was succulent, skin's thin and crispy. It is a must try. We ordered seconds! Waitresses were welcoming and attentive to requests. Wine list can do with more choices. Roses and whites. A good evening well spent.
