Incredible family run restaurant. Excellent service. Very well priced for both the area and overall Italy. I challenge you to find a steak of such good quality for this price. The daughter works in the restaurant and is so friendly and such a nice person. Highly recommend the steak and pork. 👌

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner and experience at the Agriturismo La Tintoria just down the road from the village of Savigno. The restaurant is a family-owned establishment where the three daughters of the owner (Adolfo Fioretti), Federica, Isabella and Stefania pretty much “run the store.” The three sisters are wonderful. We had a wonderful time interacting with them throughout the evening. As I said it’s a family-owned restaurant agriturismo and when we’re walking to the restaurant there was Aldolfo working in the family’s chicken coop.|Having said that, the food at the restaurant is outstanding. We started with Polpette Ricotta (meatball-like shape covered with breadcrumbs) with ceci bean puree and Sformatino. My primi piatti was Tagliatelle Bolognese which was perfectly prepared....pasta was al dente, and the ragu was light and very flavorful. My wife had Strichetti a pasta with asparagus and peas, which was delicious. For dessert (dolce) I had some biscotteria with Vin Santo and my other half had Gelato with Amarena cherries. It was a great meal and a fun experience. Isabella and Stefania provided outstanding service. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Agriturismo La Tintoria.

Highly recommended- it's a great place to stay! We stopped by spontaneously over the Easter weekend based on a recommendation and came back for a second night because our stay was super relaxed and nice! Fantastic restaurant with outstanding food, regional products and great service. From the insalata di carciofi to the tagliatelle al ragú to the guancia di manzo - everything we tried was outstanding. The owners were lovely and always available to help throughout our stay. Our room was great overlooking the courtyard and the location was well suited for taking trips all around the colli bolognesi. We could imagine staying longer next time and just enjoy the agriturismo's cozy courtyard, great wine and - in summer - the pool. Thanks for having us!!

The cotoletta is absolutely great as well as the guancia is very very good!

This place is amazing! The staff are so kind and so helpful. They were able to suggest so many places to visit and things to see. We had amazing food and I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND going to stay there.

Our visit here changed our minds about ever revisiting Italy. If you want a beautiful location with excellent accommodation in a family run converted farmstead with Michelin star-worthy cooking and the warmest possible welcome and friendly owners set in a blossom filled hilly location less than an hour from Bologna airport - then book this place asap. ||||After visiting the sights of Rome, Florence and Venice it was nice to be treated like humans again and not just something to extract money again. ||||The blossoms and lush countryside were beautiful. ||||Suggest that you ask for some lessons in Italian home cooking if you go mid week I am sure it would be possible to arrange ||||We arranged a free tour of the home based : http://www.acetaiadigiorgio.it/English.Htm the passion and effort required to make even a few litres of real Moderna balsamic vinegar is unbelievable. The end product is not as expensive as you would imagine. ||||If you are checking in luggage at Bologna airport you have to do so at the East terminal, you can drive up to the door and you will need 3 Euro for the parking. From there get the little land train back to the main terminal - unbelievably it is free!

La Tintoria was one of our favorite places to stay on our 3 week tour of Italy. The old, stone building houses several en-suite rooms, with fireplaces and a common sitting area on the upper level, with a charming restaurant on the first level. The family who owns this property is most friendly and welcoming, always taking the time to chat. The food is fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The area is lovely and a good springboard for scenic drives to quaint villages.
