Here's the good news: every Food City flies a giant American flag and, as of yesterday, Americans are running the country again (inauguration is January 20th). Most of the employees are very friendly and trying to be helpful.

The bad news: every Food City I've been in is designed so that when you enter the store it is absolute chaos trying not to collide with employees and other customers just to enter the store and begin shopping.

The restrooms are usually disgusting and there are very few, if any, small carts available in the store.

The prices are competitive but the produce and meat departments leave much to be desired and I rarely visit the deli bakery department.

A pleasant sign to see while traveling. I knew I'd get what I needed and then I bought more items. Quick service at the deli and check out. Made my quest efficient on my time, as well.

Absolutely wonderful grocery store ? such a blessing! My daughter shopped at Walmart and spent $170 on her groceries I spent $127 at food City and bought 3 times the amount of groceries that my daughter bought at Walmart It really really makes a difference! Especially with my dinner meats ? ONG they have the 5 for $19.99 so I get 3 packs of steaks and 2 packs of boneless skinless pork chops for $19.99 then I got 3 packs of country fried steak and 2 regular packs of steaks for $19.99 gave me 10 dinner meats for $40 it's just wonderful ? thank you food City ? you are awesome

Wonderful staff! Went to the bakery in a hurry after a cake for my nieces birthday party didn’t work out…. Told the young lady Shannon that was working what had happened and she immediately agreed to make a cake for us. She saved the day! The cake is beautiful and we just wanted you guys to know how wonderful she is! Thank you so much Shannon!

Edit: Mary in Customer Service was very helpful. I was trying to buy Bristol Raceway Food City 300 tickets. I will come back another day when computer glitch is fixed.

Great selection of food. Nice parking lot and inside of store.

We shop here for groceries most of the time. Walmart is across the highway from Food City and Food City has nicer people, a cleaner store, comparable prices, and the shelves are stocked better.

Just updating my review above. Had to go in and buy some drinks and a few odd things, today. The manager and everyone's always nice! They've totally remodeled the self-checkouts there and it looks great! They added more self-checkout registers, new registers, and it's designed to get out quicker. The registers all take cash as well as cards, now, tap your card or phone to pay, etc. Go check it out! No pun intended!?

They don't carry many things we normally buy at other grocery stores unfortunately. and sometimes the check out clarks are not there, so have to do self check out. not too friendly
