When you arrive to the hidden little square in the heart of Tricase, feels like time stopped. It takes you back in time! I enjoyed a lot, the atmosphere is magical. The best pasta with lobster I’ve ever had! Not to be missed

Nice atmosphere, but disappointing food

The evening started off well—the ambiance was lovely and the starter was quite good. Encouraged by that, we decided to order the 600g lobster. Unfortunately, what we received was mostly sauce with barely any meat. After raising the issue, they replaced the dish with a different fish, which was significantly smaller than what was promised.

To make matters worse, the final bill still included the full charge for the original lobster with no meat. We spent approximately 2.5 hours there and still left hungry. Throughout the whole experience, the staff showed no real concern or apology for the situation. Very disappointing.

Locanda Del Levante had been recommended by our walking holiday organiser Puglia Walking Holidays and we had an excellent experience there : attentive and polite waiters ( slighty rushed off there feet …) and special mention goes to Ciro , excellent food ( 3 courses all really delicious ) and good wine …if we were in Tricase more than one day we would definitely return… we came mid week at end of the season for tourism and lots of locals were there … booking in advance recommended . ( presenting the bill took some time 🙂 but considering the preceding experience this was not a problem)

There are 3 service employees who are all friendly but a bit confused and too busy

We took the appetizer which was great baby squid
And the gnocci wie melanzana as primi piatti

But afterwards was a disaster

We get the worst hummer ever, there was no meat on it and as we asked she explained us that the chef overcooked it but… but this explanation came after asking several
times and almost no excuse

Later on we took scorfano fish 350gr but received at the end 100gr as we wanted it cleaned… however so we had to order more food as we were still hungry

Afterwards the the taglioni came pasta was delicious but the crab on it was really not enjoyable so again not a great meal

As we read that the tiramisu here must be faboulus we had to try it (we were still hungry) and i must admit that it was just „ok“

And than as we asked for the bill we get the hummer at the bill which is in my opinion unacceptable after having such a bad experience they just took out 35€ but forget the hummer - no discount nothing received upon this whole experience (at the end they took it out as it was a favor for us)

Sadly we cant recommend this place as there are so many restaurants which do much better and after this experience on a monday evening.

On the top list of the restaurants we went to while in Puglia. Nice service and beautiful decoration. Food was very tasty and made with local products. Desserts were very good

Nice place and friendly staff. However, the food is not good value for money. Overcooked pasta, which is surprising in Italy. The fish was very bland. Expensive for the quality you get.

Really cosy, vibrant courtyard experience! Authentic and elegant. Limited seasonal, fresh menu but executed very well. Slick service and definitely worth the price. Recommended. Thanks team.
