It’s a fantastic place if u want to eat meat.they have their own butchery downstairs and upstairs is the restaurant. Start with the antipasto misto. Absolutely fabulous. Salumeria of highest quality - melting in the mouth. Already only for The carpaccio and the Tartare you will come back. The pasta with ragu is a winner and the meat main dishes are just as u imagine: the best pieces of the butchery below on your plate. Recommended and it’s worth a journey.

I highly recommend the food: unique and incredibly flavorful appetizer and primi. The ambience and setting in Trastevere are also tremendous. However, the male waiter was incredibly rude. I would have rated Macelleria a 5 but because of the way we were treated....4.

Very disappointing dinner. Most of the food came out cold, the lamb and the vegetables were clearly not served fresh. There was a long hair on one of the pasta dishes. The service was fine not the best but the big letdown overall was the food.

Our hosts at il Sentiero recommended this combination butcher shop and restaurant. It was a quiet Thursday night, late, and we were the only guests attended by a lovely local who warmed us with her hospitality. We had 3 beef dishes - all delicious! A wonderful experience. Thank you! Audrey & Steve

Wonderful meat, carpaccio and Chianina tartar, homemade pasta like it used to be, excellent side dishes. Mouth-watering zuppa inglese. Excellent price compared to the very high quality. Highly recommended.

Very good meal (was the only restaurant of note open on a Monday night). Oral menu, so you had better speak at least some basic Italian (we did). Cozy atmosphere above the butcher's shop. The meat, to no one's surprise, was simply outstanding. Contorni (sides) too were very good - go for the peppers.

Nice, well-presented restaurant in the centre of Acquapendente. Seating is upstairs with a nice, intimate atmosphere in a wooden beamed space. Service is friendly and informal. The menu is fairly limited and offers classic examples of local cuisine. Whilst not the most exciting meal I've eaten the quality was good. The restaurant is above a local butcher's so predictably the meat was the strongest part of the menu. Price quality ratio good and recommended for a quiet, unassuming meal with friends.
